Hooray for Three Kings Day!

In literacy we have been learning about holidays celebrated around the world as we read Horrible Harry and the Holidaze.  The other day we made a lot of connections between Three Kings Day and Christmas, Hanukkah, Ramadan, Passover, Easter, and even our birthdays.  We must have been good, because look what we found in our shoes after class!

Spacetastic!

This afternoon we were blown away by Mr. Mueller's space discussion!  My brother-in-law came in from NYC to talk to us about space (his favorite subject), and was truly out of this world. We ran out of time because the kids had so many questions, so a follow-up Skype call is in the works!

Please ask your astronauts in training all about it!

Hooray for Parents' Visiting Day!

Thank you parents for coming and spending the morning with us! We love showing you what we are learning and giving you a glimpse of our lives at school. You all we so enthusiastic and involved; it really means the world to us to know you enjoy the day as much as we do!

Here are a few pictures, enjoy!

The Sides: Loyalists vs. Patriots
The Argument: Should they stay or should they go?!?
The Outcome:  Too close to call!

The Process:
First we came up with our arguments:

Then we got ready for...

We met as teams and collaborated.

Shared our arguments.

And made rebuttals!
